Plans and Subscriptions
A Plan is a named commercial package combining a recurring fee, included Credit Grants, and Entitlements such as seats, connected Mailboxes, and concurrent jobs. Each Plan has immutable Plan Version editions with defined pricing and included credits.
Your Subscriptionis the Organization's recurring agreement for one Plan Version. Funded access to variable-cost operations depends on Available Credits, not the Subscription alone.
Credits
A Creditis Karis's integer consumption unit for variable-cost operations. Credits are not money and do not identify how they were obtained or when they expire — those properties live on Credit Grants and ledger entries.
Rate Cards map Meter quantities to Credits. Each Billable Operationproduces at most one settled Usage Event.
Credit Grants
A Credit Grant is a bounded batch of Credits from an eligible Stripe payment, an auditable operator grant, or approved recovery. Grants carry effective and expiry rules; spend draws from active grants according to ledger policy.
Purchase additional credits through one-time packs on supported Plans. Subscription renewals may issue recurring grants per Plan Version terms.
Reservations and settlement
Before external-cost work starts, Karis holds a Credit Reservation. When the outcome is durable, Settlement atomically records the Usage Event and debits the exact Credits.
Adjustments are append-only compensating entries — they correct prior grants, debits, or expiry without rewriting history. A positive Available Credits balance does not by itself prove sourcing or provider health.
Credit Center
Open Credits in the workspace navigation to view Available Credits, recent Usage Events, reservations, and grant activity. Use this view before large sourcing runs or enrichment batches to avoid interrupted jobs.
